Rembrandt Hotel Tokyo Machida

My family had a great time here. The hotel was clean and felt secure, and the staff were very accommodating and ready to help. There’s plenty of dining and entertainment around the corner, with a 7-Eleven and Dai-Ei right outside. The mall, bus, and train are all within a five-minute walk. One of the best places we stayed in Tokyo, with so much nearby.

The rooms are spacious, and they replace the towels and clean every day. There’s also a buffet restaurant on the second floor. The hotel sits near an overpass, but it’s convenient: the back door opens toward convenience stores and other restaurants, and the second floor connects to a walkway leading to the mall across the street, where Machida JR station is.

There’s a good city view from the window, and plenty of restaurants, izakaya, and convenience stores nearby. Machida Station is about a 10-minute walk away, and parking is available for a fee. The amenities are standard. I stayed three nights in a non-smoking room, but the pillow smelled like cigarette smoke. Breakfast was expensive, and the carpets were very old.

The room smelled awful, the bed was uncomfortable, and the curtains and walls were dirty. I stayed two nights, and Agoda hadn’t warned me that the room would be for smokers, but the hotel tried to put me in one anyway. I also got a smaller bed than expected. For the price, this old hotel was far too expensive, and the photos make it look much better. I won’t be back.
