Our twin room was bright and surprisingly roomy, and the beds were comfortable. I didn't like the rice-sack-looking pillow at first, but it grew on me and I slept well. Check-in was easy, and the friendly man at the counter was helpful. We stayed three nights in late March 2023, choosing it for the low price and because it was under five minutes on foot from Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. Shinjuku-gyoemmae metro is about a five-minute walk away, while Shinjuku station is a 20-25 minute walk if you want the exercise. The bathroom was tiny and unpleasant to use, though the Japanese-style toilet with a bum gun was a plus. The room smelled stale when we arrived. I tried opening the windows for fresh air, but the locking mechanism was complicated, and the bathroom fan didn't help much. I got used to the smell after a while. Fresh towels and toiletries came each day, which was good since the towels didn't seem to dry in the bathroom. For a low price it was a decent stay, and I appreciated having space in the room, but next time in Shinjuku I'd probably pick somewhere closer to Shinjuku station.

Maybe it was because this was my first trip to Japan, but MAN, the room was tiny, and the bathroom was even smaller than on a cruise ship. I wouldn't stay here again. For the same price, I stayed at an "Adult Only" hotel in Toyonaka called Sha Sha, and the room rivaled some of the best I've had in the States. Luckily we were only here for three nights. I'll be looking for "adult only" places from now on.

For the price, it’s good. The single room takes a bit of figuring out, especially getting around the end of the bed, and the bathroom is cramped too. Pretty typical for Japan, so I wasn’t surprised.

There’s Wi-Fi, but I couldn’t get it to connect at all, and the rooms only have the basics. The interior also feels a little dated, so that may bother some people. It’s about a 20-minute walk to Shinjuku Station, but since it’s in Shinjuku Ward, the location still isn’t bad.
