Richmond Hotel Premier Asakusa International

The staff were so kind. When my ubereats order failed to reach me, one of them patiently helped sort it out. I was really hungry, and it was late, so I appreciated that a lot. The hotel’s right across from donki and near the subway, and its rooms are bigger than normal Japanese hotel rooms. Basic things like pajamas and slippers are provided, plus there’s an iron in the room. Each floor has its own laundry units, so it doesn’t get crowded. I’d definitely consider staying again!

We spent six nights in a skytree view room and loved it. It was clean, and the staff were very friendly. Check-in is at 2pm, earlier than at some other hotels, and we could pay $16 usd to get in three hours early. That felt really reasonable after a long flight. The location is prime, with subways close by, lots of restaurants and street food, and Senso-ji only a three minute walk away. We also noticed plenty of nail and hair salons and massage places if you want to pamper yourself. Getting around by subway was easy: Ginza line was a nine minute walk, asakusa line thirteen minutes, and TX three minutes. Donki and Uniqlo were just downstairs. Highly recommended, and I’d stay again.

The hotel itself is a quiet, tranquil place to come back to, even though the area can get busy and crowded. Everything is close by, from sights, shopping, and food to public transit for reaching the rest of the city. Our room was small, but spotless and had what we needed. We spent most days out exploring, so the size wasn’t an issue. They provide toiletries, slippers, pajamas, a kettle, fridge, water dispenser, and more. There’s delicious coffee available throughout the day, and the staff were friendly and always keen to help.

We were there for three nights, close to Asakusa’s main sights, and found the room a decent size and comfortable. Staff helped us with directions for places to eat and getting around. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby all day, which was nice. The breakfast looked really good, but we skipped it to try Japanese breakfasts elsewhere. I think that was a mistake, we should’ve tried it at least once. This is a hotel I’d consider for my next trip.
