The place was spotless, and having proper-sized coffee mugs was a lovely bonus. The kitchen had the utensils I needed, and there are restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and convenience stores nearby, with the station just a couple of blocks away. Even with all that around, the side street stays really quiet. The modern Japanese shower can also dry clothes. After some awful moldy places, this was such a comfortable surprise. My only worry was the fire alarm right by the kitchen. Frying something felt a bit nerve-racking because it beeped warnings every time, so I kept opening the windows, though it never fully went off.

I picked this unit to get a feel for living in a Japanese apartment, and I love it. The size and location are great. Honestly, I could live here.

The kitchens are sturdy and fully equipped, and the showers get nice and hot. Everything was clean and in good shape.

We got to see little glimpses of local life in this quiet neighborhood, which I really liked. The stay was comfortable and affordable, with convenience stores an easy walk away. It was simple to find, and the nearby tram and transit stops made getting to other parts of Tokyo easy. The host communicated well and had the amenities we needed. I'd definitely recommend it if you're in the area.
