Koganei isn’t especially close to many of Tokyo’s tourist spots, but the ryokan is just a short walk from the station. We also found some of our favorite restaurants in Tokyo in Koganei. The owners were so kind and welcoming, and made the place feel warm and homey. The daily breakfast was delicious, and they even made us a special one on our last day. The futons were comfortable and the blankets felt soft and fluffy. I almost never write Google reviews, so you can tell I thought this place was special. Thank you, Ryokan Niko : )

The host was wonderful, and I had a really enjoyable stay. If you’re ever in the area, I’d definitely recommend staying here. I’ll be back for sure.
