The room was huge, with an amazing bathroom and perfect beds. The hotel is in an especially pleasant area that’s quiet and clean, with four or five metro lines nearby, along with three to five convenience stores open around the clock and restaurants. I highly recommend it.

After two weeks of traveling around Japan and staying in AirBnB's and hostels, my daughter and I wanted a nice base for our last few days in Tokyo, after climbing Fuji overnight. We were lucky to book Hotel Ryumeikan. The room was spacious and just right, and the hotel was so quiet. They’d thought of everything in the room, from the lighting to an ice machine. The big tub in the bathroom was a lovely way to relax during our last few days. We loved it and would stay again if we can.

We stayed here in May 2025, and I’ve been thinking about coming back ever since. The rooms were spacious and well supplied with amenities, the staff were very friendly, and traditional touches showed up throughout. It’s simply the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

We had a really good stay. The rooms were thoughtfully designed and well maintained, and the beds were very comfortable. It’s just a three-minute walk to the local metro, which made getting around easy. A couple of things to know: it’s a boutique hotel with only nine rooms, and the front desk isn’t open 24/7. The rooms don’t have blackout curtains. We’d stay again.

This place is packed with history, with traditional Japanese architecture and design. It was one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in, thanks to its cleanliness and warm hospitality. It’s also well located for getting to trains. A must-visit if you’re in the area, and we can’t wait to return.
