The shampoo was so good I honestly want to buy some for myself. The rooms were really comfortable and surprisingly spacious, easily fitting four or five people without feeling cramped. The elevator worked perfectly and was never crowded. It’s in a cozy, quiet area, but the train station is very close, around 100 meters away. There’s also a 7-Eleven and a tax-free shop nearby. This stay exceeded my expectations, and I’d happily come back.

After a full day out in Tokyo, it was easy to settle in and relax in the well-planned room. The space was arranged in a way that made it feel like a comfortable base for exploring the city, and the location made getting around convenient. I really enjoyed my stay at Sakura Cross Hotel Ueno-Iriya Annex.

We couldn’t find the tablet to enter our code, so we pressed the bell and Go came to help straight away. We were 30 minutes early, which was why. Go was really friendly, communicated well, and took our luggage up to the room too!

The location is walkable to the Asakusa area, and the hotel works as a basic place to sleep for a group of five. The rooms are quite narrow and there’s no dedicated storage, so there isn’t much space to organize belongings. With a lot of luggage or a longer stay, that can feel restrictive. It’s better suited to light packers or short visits. Check-in is self-service in the lobby. There’s a subway station nearby, though getting there with heavy bags may be inconvenient. For the airport, you generally need to transfer to the Narita Express at Ueno Station, which can be cumbersome with several suitcases. A good find for five people who value a central location more than floor space, especially if you’re minimalist travelers who mainly need somewhere to rest while exploring the city.

The bed was really comfortable, and the pillows and cover were so warm and soft after a full day of walking. The room was clean and spacious enough for everyone. Sakura Hotel was in a great, quiet location, right by a metro stop, 7/11 and Family Mart. Thanks for a great stay!
