The check-in staff member who welcomed me around 9pm on 3/6/2026 made a wonderful first impression. After a long, exhausting flight, she was patient, professional, kind, and gave detailed help that made the process smooth and stress-free. I forgot to ask her name. Housekeeping staff were also consistently friendly, hardworking, and professional, and those employees made the rest of my stay enjoyable. The location was excellent and convenient for exploring Tokyo. But around 5:00 AM on 6/6/2026, I went downstairs to see my parents off as they left Tokyo and realized I'd left my room key inside. The two female front desk staff members on duty sighed repeatedly, rolled their eyes, and spoke in a way that made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. As an international guest, I unfortunately felt I was being treated differently. This was very disappointing, especially since leaving a key in the room is a minor, common issue hotels handle every day. I've traveled to many countries and stayed in countless hotels, and this was the first time I'd been treated this way over something so simple. I was just asking for help getting into my room, not making an unreasonable request. Their response left me feeling embarrassed, unwelcome, and disrespected. Front desk work calls for basic courtesy and professionalism as well as operational skills. One bad interaction doesn't represent the entire hotel, but it can affect guests' view of the place and damage the reputation the hotel has built over the years. I hope management recognizes and rewards employees who give excellent service, and offers more training and support to staff who fall short of hospitality standards. The difference between the wonderful staff I met and these two employees was striking.

The staff were warm, attentive, and professional, and the rooms were immaculate, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. The decor and amenities felt carefully chosen, while the dining was extraordinary, with delicious dishes prepared to a high standard. The location offered convenience as well as a sense of exclusivity. From start to finish, the whole stay was flawless and exceeded every expectation. A remarkable place for business or leisure, and I'd recommend it without hesitation. I can't wait to return!

I spent four nights here in February as a solo traveler and had no complaints. The room was a little small, but it suited me fine as a comfortable place to sleep after days out exploring. It was right beside a metro station and within walking distance of lots of popular spots in Shinjuku. Self check-in and checkout were easy, and I appreciated the small supplies by the elevator, like face masks, cotton pads, and hair ties. They even had pajamas on the room floor, a thoughtful touch.

The self check-in was easy, and the room had enough space. Staff were helpful, and the lobby had lots of little amenities like toothpaste. The location by Higashi-Shinjuku station was great: you can take one stop to the main Shinjuku station if needed, or usually avoid that busyness altogether by using the Fukutoshin and Oedo lines.

As a solo female traveller, I was so glad I picked this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to come back. The room was small as advertised, but very clean, with a comfortable bed. The lobby had lots of freebies like toothbrushes and face masks, and the room had good soundproofing and blackout curtains. Although Shinjuku can feel overwhelming, this place is on its edge, quiet with no street noise, yet close enough to walk there easily. It's very central, with a metro stop outside the door, convenience stores and restaurants nearby, and lots of tours leaving from this convenient spot.
