The staff were so polite and friendly that we’d happily come back on another Tokyo trip. We also liked the tatami room and getting to sleep on futons. The public bath is on the small side and quite warm, but I still recommend it. The location is convenient for walking to Tokyo station, and the price was reasonable.

The public bathing room is well worth trying if you’ve never used one. I also found the traditional Japanese room comfortable, as long as you’re okay sleeping close to the floor. The staff took great care of me, even though the hotel was busy, and kept everything in good shape. There were no bad smells or broken equipment. The elevator did stop working once, but their crew fixed it promptly. I’d be happy to stay here again if I return to Tokyo.

The hotel is in a safe area, conveniently close to Ningyocho train station. There’s also a nearby vending machine selling drinks for 100 yen, the cheapest price. The cost wasn’t low, but it didn’t seem like one of the more expensive places to stay either. We chose a Japanese-style room with enough space for three adults. It was comfortable, though one lock was broken. Yukatas and slippers were provided, and the Japanese receptionists were polite and helpful when we arrived. It was our first time trying an ofuro, with separate baths for men and women. We were nervous about bathing nude with other people at first, but got used to it after a while. Body wash, shampoo, and rinse were supplied. I’m not sure what the rinse was for, but the receptionist said it was conditioner. We skipped the hotel breakfast because we wanted to try different foods around Tokyo. You can add a breakfast plan when booking for an extra fee. I’d stay here again on a future visit.

A clean, basic hotel room with its own toilet and the essentials, including a toothbrush, toothpaste, shaver, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. There isn’t much room for luggage, so one bag is enough.

The rooms are clean and pleasant, but breakfast service was really poor. Even after telling them I’d come down at 7:30, I sometimes had to wait until 8:15. If you’re on a tight schedule, don’t eat breakfast here.
