I stayed for 5 days and 4 nights. The hotel is in an accessible spot, with Uguisudani station and a bus stop nearby. We usually took the bus to Asakusa because the train was so cramped. There’s also a supermarket right in front of the hotel.
Room 201 was absolutely filthy, with black mould throughout the bedroom and bathroom and a strong urine smell. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. There were unexplained liquid splashes on nearly every wall, and the couch was badly stained and seemed broken. Crumbs and stains covered every dining chair, the floor was sticky, and there was blood on the curtains. The futons and pillows were stained too, and the pillows had no covers. There were holes in the walls and curtains hanging halfway off their rod. We didn’t feel comfortable sitting down. The AC pipe in the bedroom leaked above an electrical outlet right beside the bed. We could only stand one night, then had to pay Nzd 1200 to move somewhere else. Getting a refund was very difficult, and they refused to return our money.
In Dec 2022, the bathroom had such a strong mold smell that I took apart the side of the unit bath and sprayed inside with disinfectant. It was awful. Maybe it’s been improved since then, but I doubt it, and I wish someone had warned me.
The location was convenient, but the room was uncomfortable because of a persistent, unpleasant smell from the toilets. Cleanliness fell below basic hospitality standards, and the poor maintenance and hygiene problems made the stay not worth the price.
