Tokyu Stay Yotsuya Shinjuku Area

We’ve visited Japan several times, and liked the calm, easygoing feel here. The facilities were simple to use, and everything felt smooth and convenient. Getting around was easy, while the hotel itself stayed quiet and peaceful. Even just relaxing there didn’t feel boring. We met Anne in the bar area. She welcomed us warmly, was very friendly, and we ended up chatting for a while. That made the stay feel more personal and relaxed. A comfortable, solid place if you want somewhere peaceful and convenient.

This was our third stay, and we came back for the convenient location: FamilyMart is next door and Yotsuya Station is about a five-minute walk away. The staff were wonderful. About a week before we arrived, they emailed to ask if we wanted to join the local festival. We were thrilled, and they even lent us happi coats so we could take part. After the omikoshi parade, they took us to Suga Shrine, less than a ten-minute walk away. It has the famous staircase featured in the anime Your Name. It was our first ennichi, or festival night market, in Japan, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks for the warm hospitality. We highly recommend the hotel!

We were very happy with our eight-night stay. The room had a balcony, a well-equipped and comfortable bathroom, and plenty of space. There was a kitchen and washer-dryer, too. Complimentary water, coffee, and tea were available at reception. Towels could be changed whenever requested, and the room was cleaned once. It’s about a seven-minute walk to the metro, with access to several lines.

Anne was delightful, serving complimentary croissants in the lounge and happy to chat. The staff were kind, and the hotel is a five-minute walk from Yotsuya station. There are good restaurants nearby, but it’s not congested or noisy like Shibuya or Ginza. The room was roomy enough by Tokyo standards and the bed was comfortable. I’d rate cleanliness 4/5: the sink strainer was full of food scraps, which smelled unpleasant until we figured it out and cleaned it, and there was some hair in the bathroom. Everything else was terrific. I recommend staying here and will return.
