Great B&B.

Everyone in our group was very happy with the guesthouse. It’s quiet, tucked into a small alley behind the covered shopping street, and easy to find by following the signs. Shin-Koiwa Station is about a 10-minute walk away. On the way, there are produce shops, supermarkets, convenience stores, general and 100-yen shops, snack shops, restaurants, clothing stores, drugstores, and pretty much all the daily necessities you might need. The three bedrooms spread across two floors are all spacious, with room to open even large suitcases. The host supplied plenty of things. There’s a washing machine with laundry balls and a dryer, and you can also dry clothes on the second-floor balcony. During our stay in April 2026, there was a new washbasin with a mirror beside the first-floor kitchen, so we didn’t have to use the bathroom to wash up. A shelf between it and the dining table held toiletries, mostly towels, and there was a first-aid kit too. The odor issue upstairs seemed to be fixed. The last Western-style bedroom didn’t have much soundproofing, though, and we could hear cars and motorcycles speeding past at night. If noise bothers you, pick a different bedroom. The balcony has no separate entrance, so you have to pass through the Japanese-style bedroom’s floor-to-ceiling windows to get to it. It’s a good idea to contact the host a week before arrival. Once you’ve provided the required accommodation information, they’ll explain how to get the key and go over check-in details. The stairs to the second floor are narrow and quite steep, so take care with large luggage and when heading to the bathroom at night.
