The laundry machines were a lifesaver. We could wash and dry clothes in about two hours, though they can’t handle much at once. If you put in more than 1-2 kg, things may not dry completely. We stayed a week, and everything was clean. They clean the room every day according to your preference and provide fresh towels. The rooms are small, but that’s pretty expected in Japan.

The location was great for getting to the busier parts of Shinjuku within a few minutes, while being just far enough away to stay quiet. My room had enough space for me as a solo traveler, and the staff were lovely and very helpful. At reception, you can pick up small amenities like skincare products, razors, and toothbrushes. I have sensitive skin, so I used mostly my own things, but I was pleasantly surprised by the items I did try. I had a great time here on my first trip to Japan and would love to stay again.

We only spent one night here before flying out of Tokyo and wished we’d booked longer. The staff were very hospitable, and their service was excellent. They stored our luggage before check-in and after check-out. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve had, with Western-style, traditional Japanese, and taco options. The comfortable rooms were thoughtfully designed, too. The hotel is well connected to several nearby train lines, and the trip to Narita takes about 1.5 hours using the metro and Tosei skyliner. We’d stay here again if we came back to the Shinjuku area.

The rooms were on the small side, but that was fine since we were out 98% of the time and had all the necessities. The location puts you right near Shinjuku’s main areas and train stations, and we enjoyed staying at Via Inn Shinjuku. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the staff greeted us politely whenever we arrived or left. They also made luggage forwarding from the front desk very simple. We loved being able to check the TV screen to see which laundry machines were free or in use. 😆
