The facilities feel new, and the service was excellent. Jing Teng (I’m not sure I have the name right) spoke fluent English and quickly arranged all eight rooms for us. Great location too, and I’d definitely recommend it.

There’s plenty of parking, and the hotel sits right beside the train station. The rooms are practical and fully equipped, with some of the best facilities I’ve found at an APA hotel.

The staff were nice, and I slept comfortably in the bed. I picked this place because it was the closest option near the JR Johana Line stations for a one-night stay. It worked well for catching the first train to Johana Train Station, then taking the bus straight to Shirakawago. There are good restaurants nearby too. I stayed on Feb 13, 2019.

There was just one elevator, the bed felt small for two, and the parking lot was full.

The view of the mountains from my window was beautiful, and the location right beside the station is perfect. For the price, it’s a very good hotel, though it doesn’t measure up to the APA villa series. The room furnishings and bathroom facilities are showing their age. I’d recommend staying here if you really need to be in Tonami. Otherwise, try Takaoka town.
