The view from my room was stunning, and the meals in the tatami room were beautiful as well as delicious. The sashimi and seared bonito were excellent, along with the simmered bamboo shoots, miso soup, vinegared dishes, and vegetables. The white rice was delicious too. Shikoku has good water and high-quality rice. I stayed here during my pilgrimage and was impressed by the impeccable service from the proprietress, her husband, and the staff. I heard that the previous owner’s grandmother was a devout woman who, together with the proprietress, seems to have helped tens of thousands of pilgrims. Thank you very much. I hope you’ll keep running the hotel for your guests and pilgrims for many years.

The room had a wonderful view, and the whole place was clean, with flowers arranged around it. The landlady was lovely, and the food was delicious and filling. They even gave us grilled rice balls for the journey back, which added to the warm feeling of our stay. On the way home, Hakusan Cave and Cape Ashizuri were both amazing too.

The ocean view from my room was amazing, especially for a guesthouse. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to return. The fish was outstanding, and the landlady’s homemade dishes were full of care. They reminded me of the food my mother would make when I visited my parents after a long time away. I was sent to a nearby hotel’s hot springs for bathing, with a shuttle provided. The service here wasn’t excessive, and the level of attention felt just right. “Heartwarming” is the word for this guesthouse run by elderly people. It was just what I needed. I don’t know how much longer the elderly owner will keep working, but I hope he carries on for many years.

I stayed here on a walking pilgrimage, and the landlady and everyone gave us such warm hospitality. The local ingredients had clearly been prepared with great care, and the food was outstanding. It chased away the tiredness from the journey. The rooms were clean, and the location, meals, baths, and conversation with the landlady were all excellent. They work with a nearby hot spring and provide transport there and back. I’d definitely like to visit again. Given how long the inn has been operating at Cape Ashizuri, it’s easy to see why it has lasted. Thank you so much to the landlady and all the staff. I’ll be back.
