The ocean view from the room was awesome. We’re touring the island by bike with friends and eat a lot, so we brought extra food from Lawson in case dinner wasn’t enough. There was so much food included with dinner and breakfast that we ended up throwing our extra food away. Amazing value.

The owner even packed me a lunch as osettai, and we managed fine using a translation app to talk. The Orange hotel took very good care of me, and I’d recommend it without hesitation to anyone doing Henro. I’d slept near Temple 38 the night before, and after staying here I’m now heading toward Temple 39, with Kuro-usagi farmhouse, also lovely, on the way. My room was large and had its own toilet and bath. The water was hot, the bath was wonderful, and I slept very well on the traditional futon mat. At 95 kg, I sometimes find those mats too thin, but this one was great. Dinner and breakfast were both amazing.

What a lovely location, and such great value. The food was tasty and there was so much of it, with dish after dish filling our table. The owners were incredibly generous and went out of their way to look after the henro. After breakfast, the owner even sent us off with lunch as osettai.
