The location worked really well, right by the ferry and bus terminals and in the middle of the shopping street. Staff were friendly and helpful. When I left my luggage before check-in, they gave me a coupon I could use for the ferry. The food was delicious, and they took my vegetarian request seriously without cutting corners. The hotel is dated, as other people have said, but it was clean. Our room had a great view and we could watch the fireworks privately. For the price, it’s a fantastic choice if you’re okay with an older hotel.

We checked in on May 7, 2025, and parked right in front. The room’s lake view really took us by surprise. I went to the onsen at night and again in the morning. Dinner and breakfast were included in what we paid, so taking everything together, it was great value for money.

The room had a great view, and the location was great too. There’s a daily fireworks display on Lake Toya from 8.45pm to 9.05pm, from April 4 to October 31. I could see it from my room for about ten minutes, then the fireworks gradually moved toward the far end of the lake. The hotel and facilities are a little dated. The Japanese dinner and breakfast sets were okay. The onsen wasn’t crowded and had several pools. One was around 37-38°C, close to body temperature, and very comfortable to soak in.

The room was a little old, and so was the onsen, but I still recommend the hotel for the price. I’d booked dinner but arrived late, at 7pm, and under the hotel policy I couldn’t have my dinner as planned. They did manage to serve my course, though, and the staff were very kind and handled the food service really well.

We stayed in a Japanese style room overlooking the lake and really liked the place. It has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and impeccable views. The hotel is a bit outdated, but the rooms are clean and well kept.
