Mika went above and beyond to help my girlfriend and me during our stay at the Lobs Toya. I’ve never had a host so kind and helpful, and I’d stay here again if we return to Lake Toya. The house in Tsukiura is right in front of the lake, a hidden gem about a 10-minute drive from Toyako-onsen, the main town. It was clean and spacious, and seems like it would be especially nice in winter, when you’d get a better lake view. I’d recommend having a car since there are no Uber or GO services in this region. Just so you know, almost everything is closed on Sundays.

We stayed here in the summer, May to June 2025, and loved it. The place is a little way from the main road, but that’s no problem if you have a car. We had a BBQ, the setting was good, and the host was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

We’re back for a second stay, and it’s just as peaceful as before. The house is clean, comfortable, and lovely, with a short drive to the main part of town. A perfect getaway.
