Ike san made us feel so welcome. He showed us around the ryokan and looked after our dinner table, which really added to the stay. We had a pass for the onsen tour and especially liked the courtyard bath and cave bath. Our corner room was spacious and clean, with a river view and greenery all around. The ryokan is close to the bus station and kanazawa ropeway station. We arrived an hour before check-in, so we took the cable car up the mountain and got a lovely view of the town and the distant sea. The ryokan has three private baths, all clean and stocked with bathroom amenities. A wonderful stay, and we’d love to come back sometime.

The meals were a highlight, with lots of delicious choices at both breakfast and dinner and something different to enjoy each day. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and helpful. Their care and attention made us feel welcome, and I haven’t experienced service of this quality before. Staying at this ryokan was unforgettable. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for warm hospitality and an authentic experience. I hope I can visit again soon. Thank you.

At 4 pm it was fairly quiet, with maybe six people at most in the changing area. The inside bath was nice too, with bubbles at one end, though they weren’t jets. Outside, there are two furo, each perhaps three feet across, with hot water continuously circulating and a lovely view of trees on the hillside. The changing area is small, maybe around 40 lockers.

The private onsen was a great feature. I also loved the rooms and the location. It felt like a perfect, authentic experience and was great value for the price. See pictures.

There are four kinds of private baths, which was great, though there are quite a lot of steps, so older guests should take care. The food felt luxurious and was delicious, with crab, Tajima beef, and abalone. They also gave us fried noodles as a complimentary treat, but they were dry and soggy and didn’t taste very good. Even as a free treat, I think they’d be better off not serving noodles like that.
