Kinosaki Onsen Kobayashiya

We had a wonderful two-night stay. The whole building felt quiet, warm, and relaxed. The little touches were great: after dinner, I got into the futon and found a warm pack by my feet. There was a choice of yukata, western or Japanese breakfast, and an amazing dinner. The onsen were spotless and private for us to enjoy. Every staff member was excellent, whether serving meals, giving directions, or chatting with us. The manager even introduced himself at dinner, and I hope he hears this feedback. In the evening, the village atmosphere was amazing, with dozens of people in yukata heading out to enjoy any of the seven onsens included for free with a stay at Kobayashiya. We’ll definitely come back. Thanks to everyone.

The garden-view room was beautiful, with nice extras like several yukata to choose from and eco-friendly combs and razors. We tried all three private onsen and never had to wait. The place felt like a great blend of modern and traditional. The staff were knowledgeable about food and gave us helpful advice on public onsen. Their English was great too. They let us drop our luggage off early, served delicious welcome drinks, and made a wonderful kaiseki dinner. The owner made a point of speaking with guests at dinner. Such kind staff and impeccable service made this a trip highlight. Thank you for everything ❤️

A lovely private onsen complements the public ones around town, and the staff were lovely too. The river-facing room was delightful, with the clopping of wooden sandals in the streets as its soundtrack. Dinner and breakfast were incredible. The ryokan feels like a haven, with restrained, beautifully resolved style. A luxe treat from start to finish.

We loved our garden-view room and made good use of the private baths at Kobayashiya. The meals were incredible: Japanese breakfast both mornings and a crab hot pot dinner we thoroughly enjoyed. My husband and I stayed for two nights during our Japan honeymoon. The accommodations were beautiful, and the service blew us away. This was a major trip highlight, and we’ll recommend Kobayashiya to friends and family for years. We’re already talking about coming back for an anniversary. Thank you for such a special stay!
