Maruyamaso

We loved the peaceful moments here, watching sunlight shimmer on the river, having coffee in the Japanese garden, fishing, and visiting the onsen. The views are breathtaking, and the breakfasts were amazing. Our room was comfortable and thoughtfully designed. More than anything, the service made this the best hotel experience we’ve had. We truly relaxed and had a great time. Thank you!

The owner couple really made an impression on me with their hospitality. I stayed in the Golden crab room at Riverside Maruyamaso and enjoyed it a lot. The food was delicious too. I’d love to come back, and I highly recommend it.

Tucked away in a quiet, secluded spot, this little hotel was just right for a peaceful break. The rooms felt spacious and comfortable, and the food was delicious. The staff are the reason I’d recommend Riverside Marumayaso. This family-run ryokan really made us feel looked after from beginning to end, with everyone going the extra mile. We’re already looking forward to returning. It’s outside Kinosaki Onsen town, which meant we could enjoy the river view away from the crowds. The staff were happy to drive us into town and pick us up when we asked. In our room, everything had been prepared beautifully, and we especially liked the terrace overlooking the river and the private onsen beside it. Dinner and breakfast were carefully prepared, with lots of different dishes in a varied katseki meal. Everything tasted great, and the presentation made it hard to know where to start. I came in with high expectations for a ryokan, and the quality of service surpassed them. It felt like a hidden gem in the Kinosaki Onsen area.
