Hotel Green Park Tsu

The staff were very helpful, and being right next to Tsu Station was really convenient. As I remember it, the rooms started on the 15th floor, so the view was good. The room was clearly not new, but it was clean and had a massage chair I was glad to use after a long day of sightseeing. It helped me relax. My one complaint was the poor bathroom ventilation. After a hot shower, the room felt quite stuffy.

From my queen room on the 16th floor, the view was awesome by day and night. You can enjoy the quiet up near the sky.

For this city, it’s probably one of the better hotels, though it’s just okay. It’s been around for some years, and the rooms are quite small, but they’re clean and tidy and have what you need. The bed was super hard, at least for my back. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is traditional Japanese food, with no other choices, so it felt a bit limited for someone from Northern Europe. I really like Japan, its culture, respect, and politeness everywhere. Inspirational!

The views are great from the tallest building in Tsu. If you like Japanese food, breakfast is fantastic. It’s a half-buffet with salad, fruit, rice, miso soup, and yogurt, plus a bento box with salted salmon and preserved vegetables, a small beef sukiyaki pot, and two local hot dishes that seem to change with the seasons. If you prefer a Western breakfast, you’re gonna be SOL. Breakfast choices are labeled in English. As of early 2023, they were still following COVID protocols, with gloves at the buffet and plastic dividers. I stayed while some universities were holding entrance exams, which made for fun people-watching. So glad those days are behind me!
