8/10
The hotel is a five-minute walk from the station and a great range of places to eat, including child-friendly options. There’s also a nice park and playground a few minutes away. The beach is the one drawback, though that’s down to the geography more than the hotel. It’s a slightly upscale business hotel, not fancy, but it does the job. The rooms were cramped but clean. Breakfast had fewer choices than usual, but the menu felt thoughtful and had something for everyone. They lean into a family-friendly image, with a free toy for each child after breakfast and a lobby toy cabinet for downtime. The toys are well cared for and don’t feel like worn-out hand-me-downs missing batteries. Complimentary coffee and orange juice in the lobby are nice too.

The breakfast was amazing, the best I’ve had at a hotel so far. I’d come back just for that. The hotel’s only missing an onsen. The bed was nice and wide, and thanks for the welcome drinks and little sweets.

Simple and really clean, with great blackout curtains, quiet air conditioning, and a great breakfast. If you want somewhere good but not fancy, this hotel fits.

I couldn’t sleep because I could hear people in the rooms next door and upstairs. I’ll be getting my money back.
