After a long day out, I really liked being able to use the large Japanese-style bath. If you want to avoid changing floors, ask for a room on the 4th floor. There’s also a free ice bar outside the bath entrance, which is nice for cooling down after a hot soak. The breakfast was simple but pleasant, and the omelet was especially good. If Japanese baths aren’t your thing, each room has a fairly spacious bathroom, though the bath, shower, and toilet are all together in one unit. The room was clean, bright, and larger than the average Japanese business hotel room. There were lots of useful extras, and the staff were friendly and courteous, which made it easy to relax away from home. The lobby has a pillow bar where you can choose one to suit you, plus loan items like a sewing kit, umbrella, can opener, and extension cord. There’s also a free multipurpose charger in the room if you forgot your phone cable or earbuds. The hotel is just steps from the JR Tsu station exit, so it’s easy to reach by train. There’s parking behind the hotel, though nearby lots may be cheaper. Check the rates carefully, since figuring out their hourly charges can be difficult.

I stayed several nights and had a lovely time. For a 2-star hotel, I was really happy with it. The staff were kind and attentive, and it’s easy to find, just across from the station. At the lobby there’s free coffee every day, and you can pick an extra pillow with the firmness you prefer. Forgot your charger? The room has cables for different devices, including Type C and Lightning. Thanks Sanco Inn Tsu Ekimae 💕

A convenient place to stop on the way to Ise, especially if you’re arriving late, since bars and karaoke are only a few blocks away. The location is good, and there are chain shops at the station if you need a quick meal beyond the hotel breakfast. Staff were very polite. The room was clean, though standard-small. There’s an onsen, and uncovered parking about a five-minute walk away.

There isn’t a lot to see around Tsu city. The nearest Don Quijote, cinema, and castle are about 1.5 km from the hotel. It has the basics, including laundry, an ice machine, and parking, and sits right across from the JR station. Staff wouldn’t let me check in an hour early unless I paid extra.

Breakfast was good and had a decent range. The room was fine for what I paid. The artificial onsen is small, but I had it to myself, so I really enjoyed it. I had a very nice stay and would recommend it.
