The owners were super friendly, and the inn is in a great spot at the foot of Mt Haguro. We paid about 220AUD per person for two nights, including two dinners and two breakfasts. The meals were traditional temple food, all vegetarian. The Japanese-style rooms had futons, though they could have been a bit thicker. Their traditional Washi sliding doors let in a lot of light at night since our room was right by the exit sign.

The staff were very kind, and staying here was a lovely experience. It’s a great place to sleep before climbing Haguro mount, since the inn is right by the start of the climb and next to its bus station. Breakfast was great, too.

The people working here are the best, a huge shoutout to them. The rooms are pretty and spacious, the food is delicious, and the location is great. Simply the best.
