The sea views are lovely, and the rooms are roomy for the price. Staff were friendly and helpful. Getting into town means a 17-minute walk up a very steep hill, so having a car is probably best. There’s a local bus stop nearby, though service is limited. No elevator, either.

Being close to the city was handy, but my room had no heater and the temperature made it really hard to sleep.

At night, the squid fishing boats light up the sea, and watching the sunrise over them was amazing. The hotel sits on a hill with a nice view of the water.

The room was spacious, which made it easy to unpack. That was about the only upside. It felt like a place for tour groups, and the soundproofing was so poor I could hear hallway conversations right beside me in bed, word for word. The doors slammed so loudly that I woke up what felt like a hundred times. Dust from the air conditioner kept making me sneeze, and peeling wallpaper gave the room a ghostly look.
