The chicken tatsuta-age set meal was generously portioned, and 900 yen felt like a bargain. I stopped by for a meal and a bath after visiting Samuhara Shrine, but the hot spring was closed because there were no overnight guests. Better to call ahead and check. Thanks for the meal.

The chicken tatsuta-age was crispy and juicy, a bit like chicken nanban, and really tasty. With simmered bamboo shoots and marinated horse mackerel on the side, the set meal was filling and left me very satisfied. I was here for work, and the heavy snow meant there were no other customers. I hear the place is often used for training camp accommodation for the sports facility next door, but the restaurant is still a high standard 🤗

The sashimi was fresh and tasty, and the prices were reasonable. The menu is simple, but I was happy with what I ordered. I’d been looking for lunch while visiting Samahara Shrine and noticed a sign for the accommodation, so I decided to stop in. Inside, it’s a lovely wooden building, with both sunken kotatsu seating and regular tables. The hot spring is small, but admission is only 400 yen ✨ I’d come back to this restaurant if I’m in the area again.

The breakfast was very filling. I had a Japanese-style room meant for four all to myself, so there was plenty of space. The bathroom was shared and small, but comfortable, with a hot spring. You can only get to the place by car.
