The room was surprisingly spacious, with plenty of room for two to relax. The bathroom is on the small side, so going to a hot spring beforehand might be best. At night, noise from the air conditioner or something else was pretty loud. The station is very close, with restaurants and convenience stores nearby, which is handy.

The price was reasonable, and it helped that I could book on the day. It's okay if all you need is somewhere to sleep, but people who notice little details may want to pass. The foreign staff member at the front desk was very helpful. There are convenience stores and restaurants near the station, so finding food wasn't an issue.

For a budget stay near Ueda Station, the price is good. I booked through Rakuten for around ¥5,000. The shower pressure is weak, though still enough to shower. The shampoo is a combined rinse-in shampoo, and body soap is the only other toiletry provided. No hairbrush or similar, and I guess the toothbrush is all they offer. There's one by the elevator on the first floor. The biggest annoyance for me was the hair dryer, which had weak airflow. There's no mirror in the room either, so I had to dry my hair in the bathroom. The air conditioning is individually controlled, and if you're just sleeping there rather than hanging out in the room all day, it's probably fine. It's really close to the station. If you want more, you might want to spend a little extra.
