Maihama View Hotel by HULIC

We had a nice stay at Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel. It was a relaxing place to come back to after full days at the parks, with clean, comfortable, spacious rooms and friendly staff who were always happy to help. There’s a convenience store inside for quick snacks and drinks, and the free shuttle made getting to and from Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea easy. Both parks are just a few minutes away. It’s a good option if you can’t get a room at one of the Disney-branded hotels, even though this one isn’t official Disney. We’d happily stay here again.

The short shuttle ride to the Disneyland monorail made getting to the park easy, and we’d stay here again on a future trip. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had plenty to choose from. I especially liked the fried egg crepe and the thick bacon cooked just crispy enough. There was salad and a selection of washoku dishes too, plus takeaway cups if you want to bring coffee back to your room.

Around 10:30 a.m. on Sep.22, I left my bag on the bus from our previous hotel to Disney. The staff member at the welcome center kindly contacted both the hotel and bus company to confirm where I could retrieve it, then showed us the directions to the bus company. I’m very thankful for her help.

The hotel’s circular shape is beautiful, and the staff were friendly and accommodating whenever we called. The shuttle to the train station and the park was safe and convenient. The place felt safe and accessible, and I’d recommend it for a Disney visit. My family and I did miss having a gym and pool. The TV was another downside: all the programs were in Japanese, with no way to turn on closed captions or subtitles. I’d suggest upgrading to Smart TVs.
