Share House Shin-Urayasu

There were eight of us, friends and our families, and having two bathrooms worked out perfectly, one with a tub and one with a shower. The manager was very kind, and we’d definitely stay again if we get the chance. We were there for a two-night, three-day Disneyland trip from September 12th to 14th. Even though we arrived late, they had the bath ready and the air conditioner on, which was a big help.

It’s clean, has a homier feel than a hotel, and I was very happy with my stay. The landlord was kind, too. It’s close to Disneyland and reasonably priced. The sound carries because it’s a shared house, but I was glad to have a warm futon to stretch out in and a shower. There’s no parking on site, though there are plenty of paid lots nearby. Overnight parking was 400 to 600 yen. I’d use it again.

The owner was kind, and we appreciated the ride to Disneyland. Still, the noise late at night spoiled what was supposed to be a fun trip. Other guests were talking and laughing loudly for a long time, right through to the early morning. We couldn’t sleep, so we quickly booked another hotel for our second night. The bathroom floor was also very dirty with limescale. Our kids couldn’t put their feet down and had to stand on chairs. If there hadn’t been laughing in the middle of the night, we might have managed, but it was really disappointing.

The owner was friendly, and the room was clean, though the bed and sofa were worn. I was in a first-floor corner room, but the bathroom door had a lot of mold and was quite dirty. The room fridge had drinks for 100 yen each. What really got to me was how much noise came through from next door. The walls must be thin: I could hear conversations, things dropping, and switches being pressed. I went to bed early before our Disneyland day, then got woken around 11 PM when the neighbors came back. I went to the park exhausted. I won’t stay here again. A business hotel feels much more restful to me.
