MyStays Maihama Hotel

The rooms were comfortable and spacious, and it was a perfect base for quick trips to the Disney parks. I’d stay here again next time I visit Disney Tokyo.

I stayed here in Sept 2023 because I wanted to be close to DisneySea, and it really was nearby. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the area views were alright. There were enough vending machines and a microwave. I had breakfast, which was nice and kept me going until the afternoon. The opening and closing hours felt a bit tight, so be aware of that. The building looks modest, but the hotel was enough and more for most Disneyland visitors. I’d recommend it and would come back. Nothing fancy.

Our flight delay meant we got to Hotel MyStays Maihama around 2 am. The staff were polite and checked us in quickly. They had cotton pads for toner and makeup remover, toothbrush sets, free water refills, and a coffee machine. The room had two twin beds, standard for Tokyo, and the bathroom was a typical Japanese size with a bidet toilet and shower. We were staying at Hotel Miracosta the next day, so we walked to DisneySea in about 15 minutes instead of waiting for the shuttle. We sent our other two large bags on to our Asakasa hotel with the baggage delivery service. It cost roughly 4,000 yen, cash only. The closest Lawson was a five-minute walk and had an ATM.

The staff were especially helpful and friendly when we needed help forwarding our luggage to the next hotel. There’s a Lawsons about a five-minute walk away, and restaurants by the Disney parks. The hotel has a breakfast restaurant, but we left so early for the park that we didn’t try it. It’s a no-frills place in a handy spot for Disney Sea and Disney Land. Our room and bathroom were a little small compared with some other hotels we stayed at in Japan, but we weren’t there much, so it didn’t matter too much. The leg massage machine was very useful after a long day at Disney. There’s a water dispenser on the ground floor, though I found it annoying to keep going downstairs to refill our water. Everywhere we stayed in Japan was really clean, but the floor here was a little dirty, which is why I gave it 3 stars. A good Disney location without the very high Disney hotel prices.
