Tasty food and a good onsen!

We were the only other group staying on a Monday night, so the place felt like it was ours. It has a retro-modern feel and a calm, tucked-away atmosphere, which suited us. Some popular inns and hotels can get lively with lots of foreigners and families with children, and that can be disappointing when you’re hoping for a relaxing hot spring. The building had been renovated, and we were impressed by how clean and spacious the room was. The indoor bath was huge. Dinner was a delicious French course meal, and we got a great last-minute discount through Jalan.net.

I had a very pleasant stay. The room and whole building were clean, the staff were friendly, and nothing unpleasant happened. All the food was delicious, the price was reasonable, and I was very satisfied. It made me want to come back. The bath in my room was a hot spring, so I was fine without using the large public bath. That bath was mixed, and both men and women had to wear the swimsuits provided. Some people may feel hesitant about that, or just want to use the big bath. My husband loves large public baths, so he went to a nearby hot spring for a day visit while I enjoyed a relaxing soak in our room. The elevator was out of order, so we had to take the stairs. Anyone with mobility issues should check before booking. It’s a three-story building, and the stairs weren’t a problem for me.
