I’ve visited Japan many times and usually stay at a ryokan with an onsen. We chose this hotel based on its reviews. At check-in on 26/3, we were given set meal times, as is usual at a ryokan. We went to dinner on 26/3 and breakfast on 27/3, and used the onsen. On both days our room was empty for about two hours. We were on the highest floor and took the room key with us. When checking out on the morning of 27/3, I found a stack of my money missing. I’m sure it went missing here because it was still in my purse before we stopped at a ramen shop on the way. A lot of money was taken. We reported it to the person in charge, who said there was no CCTV in the corridor and they couldn’t tell who had entered our room with a key. They offered to let us file a police report, but we didn’t because we were rushing to Kyoto for a business meeting. The trip was ruined, and I hope management takes this seriously and investigates so other visitors aren’t affected. If you stay here, keep your valuables with you, even when you go to the onsen or dining hall. The view, spacious room, and delicious food don’t matter to me now. I don’t trust the hotel and won’t return because I don’t feel secure. How can a hotel have no corridor CCTV? They didn’t check staff or lockers right away either. The missing amount was substantial, not ¥1000 or ¥2000. I’ve stayed at many onsen hotels and ryokan in Japan, and this is the first time I’ve had valuables go missing. I’m very disappointed in management, the staff, and their ethics.

The free shuttle from the train station was a nice bonus, and in winter we had a gorgeous view of boats and ships going by. The onsen is simple, with the men’s and women’s sides changing each day. It was a fantastic getaway and worth the trip, especially for the reasonable price. The in-house dinner was delicious and very deluxe, so I’d recommend booking it.

The room was spacious and the food was delicious. This is a lovely traditional-style onsen, with a bath outside that looks over the bay. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and my partner definitely wants to return.

I booked a Deluxe room, but it looked very different from the photos. The window was really dirty, and the sea looked very foggy through it. Getting here is a bit difficult, even with the free pickup from Kada station. The hotel is quite old, and for what we paid, I don’t think it was worth it. You could find a better place for the same price.

The rooms are a little aged but clean, and the onsen is great for both its water and the view. The views are lovely, and there’s a free ice pop at night. If you check in late, breakfast may be early because other guests get the good time slots. Also, there’s no elevator from the lobby to the first floor, so you have to carry luggage up about half a flight of stairs.
