The onsen was the highlight for me, really clean and lovely. The hotel is close to the station too, which was handy. I wasn't keen on the breakfast, and the room didn't feel clean, which was a shame.

For a three-star place, it works well if you mainly need a clean, affordable room near the station for a comfortable night on holiday or a business trip. I wouldn't pick it for a hotel-centered getaway.

The staff were friendly, and the bed was fine with clean sheets. The shower had strong pressure and nice hot water. But the room needed more attention, especially the still-dirty toilet 😡. I paid ¥650 for what was probably the worst breakfast I've had.

We ended up paying 600 yen extra because the staff selected the exchange rate on the card machine. Payment should have been in yen, and it wasn't the staff's decision to choose how the customer pays.

The beds gave me an amazing night's sleep, and the rooms were much more comfortable than I expected. It's a comfortable hotel in a great spot near Yamagata station.
