Guesthouse Murabito

The lake is right across the street, and there’s a bus stop nearby that can take you anywhere, so the location worked really well. I arrived in the evening and was greeted warmly by the hostel owner. Check-in was easy and pleasant, and the kind, thoughtful couple who run the place were always available for questions and made sure I had what I needed. It feels like a home, with a clean, tidy, beautifully designed interior, a fully equipped kitchen, cozy dining area, and comfortable living room. I stayed in a dorm, which was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. Each bed had its own light, shelf, and hangers; lockers, earplugs, and other little essentials were provided too. I was impressed by how much thought went into the details. I’d love to come back. Thanks for such a lovely stay, and I hope to return!

The location is ideal, just a 2 minute walk to Yamanakako and about 13 minutes on foot to the town’s biggest supermarket, Ogino. Murabito Guesthouse is one of the best places I’ve stayed during my Japan trip. It’s cozy and feels like home, and it was spotless. There’s a large guest kitchen, a spacious shared area, and outdoor seating. The couple who run it are welcoming, friendly, and happy to help. They also offer laundry and bike rental services. I’ll definitely stay here again if I visit Yamanakako.

The bus stop is close, and you can walk to two convenience stores in just a few minutes. It’s a peaceful spot that works especially well for backpackers looking to spend time in nature. The owners were genuinely caring and kind. We had an amazing stay.

The owner was so friendly and helpful, and the whole place had that lovely clean smell you’d expect from a five-star hotel. Even with shared facilities, our room, the toilet, and the bathroom were all very clean. I stayed around five days and would be happy to visit again soon.
