The house is clean, the host is great, and the views of Mt Fuji are lovely. Getting there was the hard part. The hill is extremely steep, and we had to ask the host to help us up. We eventually made it by taking weight out of the car and shifting into a very low gear. The listing should warn people that the climb to the house can be a struggle if you’re driving.

The room was average, and the dryer didn’t work, though the view was great. There’s no parking, and the road up is badly damaged, very bumpy and steep. Good luck getting there without four-wheel drive.

The balcony has a breathtaking view, with Fuji close up. The host was kind and amazing, and the house was well set up for cold weather. And that beautiful bathroom too. Definitely recommend it.
