That bath was possibly the nicest I’ve ever had. At 6'3" I could stretch my legs all the way out, almost swim, while the cedar scent filled the room. It was pure relaxation. I’ve worked in hotels for over ten years, so I tend to notice the little things, and Craft Inn Te does them brilliantly. The room felt carefully put together, from the cold brewed Yame tea waiting in the fridge to the delicious matcha cookies and comfortable yukata and pyjamas. The staff made a great impression as soon as we arrived. Anri was one of the best hospitality professionals I’ve spoken with, warm, great at English, and genuinely delightful while still feeling polished and personal. I’m already planning to return as soon as I can.

I’d suggest driving here. It’s a quiet area, not very big, but you can walk around and find some good-looking restaurants. We stayed at Craft Inn for two days. The room had a nice design, with lots of traditional handmade local products, and it was cozy, with a nice bed and bath. The Japanese breakfast in the room was tasty too. A couple of suggestions: there are quite a few steps inside, so watch your footing, and it’d be useful to have a towel on the first floor by the bathroom. Right now you have to bring one down from the second floor.

We only stayed a night and wished we could have stayed longer. We were lucky to have a tea experience and an indigo dyeing session arranged for us. The many crafts are carefully chosen, and everything feels top quality. Aya helped us by online messages, and Anri was at reception. Both were welcoming and wonderful. Anri also explained the displayed crafts and suggested places to visit. We recommend this place 100%.

The bath was my favourite part. It was a cold night, so I filled it with really hot water thinking it would cool quickly, but it stayed hot for ages. The whole bathroom also has an incredible cedar smell. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the staff kindly adapted it for my vegan diet. The room feels huge, almost like a house. They provide comfortable pyjamas, a jacket in case the room feels cold, and you can adjust the heating. There’s a temperature controlled kettle for making tea at the right temperature, and cold brew tea was waiting when I arrived. I’d really recommend staying here if you get the chance to visit Yame.

The large room was comfortable and fit three of us nicely. We enjoyed the local coffee and tea, and bought some local beer to relax in the room. It’s a beautiful place with a distinctive Japanese style, and we had a great time in Yame. Breakfast was wonderful too.
