From our room we could see the river and red bridge, and the sunrise over them was especially lovely. The food and onsen were excellent. Service was great the whole time, and although the staff's English was limited, communication was never a problem. They picked us up from Yanaizu station and drove us back so we could catch our train.

The staff were friendly and helped us in English with sightseeing suggestions and lunch recommendations, which we really appreciated. We had a delightful stay and the meals were lovely. Tickets for the nearby kiyoshi saito museum of art are available here at a discount if you're planning to go.

Back for a second visit. I love the view, and the old-school ryokan feel is great. The okami and staff are lovely. Food is simple but tasty. Their rotenburo is comfy, and after 9pm there aren't many people, probably because the tub is on the small side. There are some nice things for sale in the lobby. If you head out and around to the back of the building, the Michi-no-eki is another roughly 30m along.

We'd love to return in winter. The owners and staff were chatty, super friendly, and gave great service. Our room was lovely, the food was excellent, and the onsen was just the right temperature. It's ideally placed overlooking the bridge, with a great view.

I came for lunch during a day tour of the Tadami river. There were several cabbage dishes, and the cabbage was sweet. The pork over rice was really delicious.
