Daiwa Roynet Hotel Shin - Yokohama

Big room and good value for the money. Check-in was courteous and professional, and the staff were too. The hotel is clean and well maintained, and close enough to the station to walk even with lots of suitcases.

The room and toilet were incredibly clean and comfortable, and the hotel feels worth every cent I paid. The location is convenient too, with a Lawson right beside the building. Staff were so friendly and the service was tiptop. I can’t think of anything to complain about and will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The staff were courteous and proper, and the laundry facilities were very clean. But the room was a letdown. There was dust around the headboard, the beige chair and sofa were old and stained, and they were very uncomfortable to sit on. The bed had marks that looked like blood or coffee, which made us very uncomfortable during our stay. The hotel needs to clean or replace the bed frame. I wouldn’t return.

You can see Yokohama Arena from the front door, and it’s only two minutes away, so this is a handy choice for a concert. There’s a convenience store downstairs with plenty of quick food and drink options. The shopping area is across the main road toward the stations, all within walking distance. The room is an okay size for Japan, and the bed was comfortable and clean, but the bathroom smelled mouldy. It works as a place to come in, sleep, and head out after a quick shower. Don’t expect much comfort beyond that.
