I had to cancel breakfast because of a Shinkansen ticket, and the front desk staff handled it happily. The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the station, with a large supermarket nearby, which was handy. It was clean and new, and I had a stress-free stay. You pick your amenities at the front desk, and I was glad to see women's items like lotion and cleanser too. The twin room had an unusual layout, with the bathroom around the back, but I thought it was well designed. I'd like to stay here again.
Having a private sauna in the room was great. I could relax without worrying about other people, both in the evening and again in the morning. The big screen was good for watching movies and unwinding, too. The staff were really kind. I'll be back soon!
It's a new, clean hotel, and it seems geared toward young people. I was there on a business trip, and there weren't many problems, but it's not a business hotel, so anyone expecting that kind of convenience may find it lacking. I missed having a desk, chair, and even a clock. They seem particular about the shampoos, but that was a hassle. The laundry service is ridiculously expensive (lol). I suppose the location explains it, but having only three dining choices is a bit of a problem.
The hotel is new, clean, and reasonably priced. There are only chain restaurants nearby. I was satisfied overall, though there was no door between the bathroom and the room, so turning on the bathroom light while I was asleep made things a bit bright.
I wanted to give this 4 stars, but the cold bath and the lack of explanations at check-in brought it down to 3. The premium room day-use plan with a private sauna cost 10,000 yen per person for five hours, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. It was a little expensive, but the room was spacious, I had the dry sauna to myself, and there was a reclining bed where I could rest after the cold bath. The bath was only lukewarm tap water. There was some ice in the freezer, but not enough to cool it, so I made three trips for more ice from the ice maker on the third floor and from the fifth floor. That was a hassle and took away the relaxing feeling. I hope they can improve this. It was my first time using a sauna, so I wasn't sure what to do and tried the switches around the room. I accidentally turned the sauna off, and then it gradually felt warmer. I checked the instructions and realized it runs when the light on the switch is off. You'd normally think the light being on means the device is on, so I wish they'd explained that at check-in. I also tried to order room service, but there was no phone in the room. I checked with the front desk on my cell phone, then found instructions saying you can scan a QR code to call. What if you don't have a smartphone? I wish they'd explained that at check-in too.
