Hotel Route-Inn Yokohama Bashamichi

I visited a while ago, but I still remember the stay very clearly. The hotel was a great find in often pricey Yokohama, with a nice balance of comfort and cost. The breakfast was good, and the cleanliness really stood out. It was truly immaculate.

There are only 10 parking spaces for 240 rooms, so forget finding a spot, and you can’t park within 1 km of the building. The eco cleaning wasn’t much use to me, and the free drink token is worth less than the drink, so it’s pointless. With just three washing machines for 240 rooms, I waited three hours for one. This was the final hotel on our Japan road trip. We’d stayed at a lot of Route Inns along the way, and they’d been fine until this one. The facility didn’t seem to have much to offer in the way of service. It is close to a train station, but the rooms were the smallest in the network.

The room is a little old, but I really like it. The food is tasty, and the staff are very friendly. I’ll definitely come back and stay again.

The location is quiet and convenient, just a minute’s walk from restaurants, bars, and trains. Rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. The Japanese breakfast buffet is tasty, and there’s free coffee in the lobby. The English-speaking staff are friendly and helpful.
