The staff made a good first impression, they were friendly and spoke pretty good English, and the room was clean. But that didn't last. The mini split air conditioning unit wouldn't work, and because I was there in February, it was very cold. My room felt just as cold as outside. A staff member came up and reset the unit, but it still didn't work, so I spent the night freezing. On top of that, the walls were paper thin, and I could hear the neighbors even when they weren't talking loudly. Unfortunately, my neighbor snored all night. The mattress was also very thin, with almost no cushioning. With all of that together, it was the worst stay I've had in all of Japan.

The check-in staff were friendly, and I didn't mind being given a room on the first floor at first. But it was right next to the breakfast area, where preparation noise started at 5 a.m. and kept going until breakfast was over, so sleeping was impossible. No one mentioned this at check-in. I'm glad my stay was short.
The rooms are like those at other toyoko inns, the staff are friendly, and breakfast is good. The location is great and close to China town. I also appreciated the large parking area inside the inn, which fits big vehicles, and not having to worry about it being full. The only downside was the slow wifi.
There was plenty of space for one person, and the room was clean and comfortable. The bed felt a little hard, though I was used to it by the second day. The staff were friendly, and the location is excellent for Kannai Station, Kenmin Hall, Chinatown, and other nearby places. I'd stay here again.
The staff were friendly, and the hotel is just a few minutes on foot from Kannai station's South Exit. Breakfast is free, though it wasn't quite as good as at the other Toyoko Inns I stayed at on this trip. Payment was a hassle: this location declined both of my North American Visa cards, and neither my bank nor I know why. I had to pay in cash. This has happened a couple of other times at Toyoko Inns, but usually one of my cards works in their machine. It was especially annoying since I used the same card to reserve online and can use it at JR to buy train tickets.
