The room was modern and comfortable, with excellent sunset and Mt Fuji views. I could hear the trams, as other reviewers have mentioned, but the noise fortunately didn’t wake me. The rates were very reasonable for my pleasant three-night stay at the Westin Yokohama in January 2026. When I arrived, they offered me a Club Floor upgrade and a choice of rewards for my Platinum Elite status. I picked a voucher for one day’s access to the swimming pool. The Club Lounge breakfast and evening refreshments were reasonably good. It got fairly busy at serving times, but the courteous staff meant I never had to wait for a seat. The pool and sauna were well maintained, though I do think a 5-star hotel should let guests use them for free. Several metro lines are a 10-15 minute walk away and get you to central Tokyo in under 45 minutes. Kamakura and other interesting sights are reachable in a similar time, and the hotel is well connected to Haneda Airport. I’d certainly stay again for the room quality, friendly staff, prices, and lounge.

We had a wonderful Christmas stay at the Westin, for two nights, and everything was perfect. The rooms were beautiful and had everything we might need, the beds were comfortable, the views gorgeous, and there was a little welcome treat. Check-in went smoothly, and late checkout was granted without any questions. Housekeeping left a note about stopping by, but on short stays we just put out “don’t disturb.” Breakfast was another treat. My husband is a picky eater who likes variety, so we went out for breakfast both days, and the changing menu didn’t disappoint. One evening, the 23rd floor bar was full when we went for drinks and dessert, but we got a seat in the lounge and still had a great time. The location is convenient, and we’d stay again.

The Executive Lounge is among the best I’ve experienced, with a wide selection of high-quality food and drink. Dining and spa facilities are impressive too, and fit the hotel’s wellness focus. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable and well maintained. On a clear day, Mt. Fuji stands in the distance over Yokohama’s city view. For people who don’t like walking, the location may feel remote from the main transit hubs. I enjoyed the walks myself. This is easily the best hotel in Yokohama for the price. Unlike Westins in the US, it feels more like an Edition, high-end, modern, and minimalistic. It’s my new go-to here, with a level of luxury and hardware that punches way above its weight.

The room is spacious by Japanese standards, the bed is very comfortable, and staff speak English. Turn-down service is available on request, but they only remake the bed and bring fresh towels. For my lover’s birthday, they did provide a chocolate plate with a birthday card. For Christmas and New Year, Westin charges fees for tableware without mentioning them in the reservations.

I’m still at the hotel and wanted to share some good and bad things. The room is a decent size for the price, but soundproofing is terrible. I hear the subway trains all day and night, and there’s construction noise too. Compared with other hotels I’ve stayed at, it’s really bad, probably because they built it near the subway station. As a Titanium Elite and lifetime Platinum member, I definitely don’t feel I’m getting the treatment or experience I should. Like other people have said, I’ve never been charged to use a pool and sauna at other hotels. My first buffet breakfast this morning was awful. We waited more than an hour, then they closed the food station just 15 minutes after seating us without warning us beforehand. I assumed they’d extend breakfast because they kept letting people into the ticket system. They apologized after we complained, but with staff cleaning and vacuuming around us, I felt rushed to finish my meal.
