I had a great time here. The staff were nice, and it was a great experience for me.

The location is very good, close to the harbour, Chinatown, and other places. The staff are friendly too. Just be warned that the rooms are small, and the bathrooms feel as cramped as an airplane toilet.

The room was small, with just enough space for my luggage, but I was very happy with my stay because the service was superb. The front desk staff were so polite and treated me like a VIP, even though I was an ordinary guest. When other guests were in my way, they escorted me to the lift. They also had the tools I urgently needed. Housekeeping cleaned the room efficiently, and I trusted them: I left my watch in the room all day and it was untouched.

The staff were friendly and courteous, from the nighttime receptionist to the daytime team, and gave me helpful tips for nearby places to eat. There’s a 24-hour Yoshinoya and convenience stores close by. Bashamichi station on the Minatomirai line is less than a five-minute walk from Exit 5. My basic L-shaped room was spotless, with a pleasant fourth-floor street view. It’s small, but I didn’t feel cramped. The bed takes up one side of the L, with a long desk along the other, leaving room inside the shape for a fairly large bathroom. The bath was less slippery than many hotel baths. The mattress was firm and comfortable enough, and the disposable slippers fit my big Western feet. Hangers sit on a practical overhead rail past the foot of the bed, instead of in a cramped wardrobe. The air conditioner and heater responded quickly to the wall control beside the bed. The long desk had well-placed outlets, and the padded chair was comfortable for laptop work. Very good value, and I’d happily book here again when I’m in Yokohama.
