The houses feel like a home away from home: each is standalone, with its own private onsen, and the atmosphere is quaint and discreet. They seem nearly new and are well maintained, with a proper electric kitchen, microwave, kettle, and high speed WiFi. There’s enough room to sleep a family of four, or even up to eight, with three queen sized beds and living room space for futons across two levels. Finding the place can be tricky, especially on foot, and the streets are very, very narrow, which can make driving hazardous at night. I’d arrive before sunset and leave after sunrise. If you plan to cook, buy your food before getting to the accommodation.
