The room was just big enough for two, and the ceiling had a closed window decorated with a bouquet of flowers, which was a distinctive touch. Outside the private onsen, there was a sitting spot with a pleasant mountain view. The hotel also had two foot hot springs guests could use for free. It's a small place up the hill, about a seven-minute drive from the city center. Guests park across the road. There was practically no front desk, with staff based in the souvenir shop by the entrance. Free drinks were available in one restaurant; breakfast and dinner were served in another, where tables were separated by pinoleum. All the meal sets were Japanese style.

The food choices were great, and paying extra for the sukiyaki and yakiniku was very worth it. I would've given five stars if construction next to the inn hadn't been going on, since it could block the view the place is known for.

The onsen was so good, the staff were friendly, and the bed was really comfortable. I wanted to steal the pillow. It was easy to get there too, thanks to the Suttle Bus service. I liked taking short walks around the area. There aren't many restaurants or supermarkets nearby, but it's a perfect spot to relax.

A great place to get some rest, with a fancy private spa and a lovely view. The staff were kind, and the traditional Japanese food made a strong impression.
