The host speaks English, which made communication easy. I really enjoyed the service, the traditional Japanese dining, and having a private bath in our room. My son and daughter were very happy during our stay too. I’d recommend this ryokan for a family trip.

We stayed in a private osen room, and the staff were very nice and helpful. Both meals were good and came in big portions. The set menu was supposed to be beef, but I switched mine to fish.

It isn't exactly cheap, but this was well worth it as a break from busy city life. The kind of escape I can hardly imagine improving on. It'd be a pity not to try it once in your lifetime.
