We spent the day in and found it relaxing, with a nice walking path along the river nearby. There's also a private sauna and onsen, and the bus stop is close, making it easy to get between the inn and Yugawara station. The staff were friendly and helped with anything we needed. Our room was very comfortable and had great climate control. The food was excellent, with lots of variety, and there were plenty of free snacks and drinks in the front area to take back.

My kids love campfires, so we've come back many times. There's a great market corner, and I thought we could just stay overnight, but my wife loves the bouillabaisse at dinner so much that we always choose the meal plan. The ingredients are fresh, and cooking over the fire is fun. The kids love roasting marshmallows and eating them. My wife isn't into camping, but she's happy to come to Base Glamping, lol. We'll definitely be back!

It was a chilly day, but sitting around the bonfire under the stars became a lovely memory. Haori coats and electric blankets were available to rent, which kept us comfortable. The rooms and the rest of the facility were clean and had a calming feel, and the children's rental items, including a special haori coat, were really helpful in the colder weather. We stayed with our children and had a peaceful family break with plenty of privacy. The hot springs were so relaxing and helped ease our everyday tiredness. At meals, the staff carefully explained each dish, and the food was delicious with thoughtful service. It's a wonderful place for families to enjoy an unusual getaway without worry. We'd happily stay here again.

The market meal setup was a highlight: choose the ingredients you like, then finish cooking them over a campfire. The food was delicious, and eating with the smell of the flames around us made it feel special. The staff were attentive, and this time I picked the full support service, which covers lighting the fire, cooking, and cleanup. That option is great if you want to relax. Each cottage gives you a private space to enjoy at your own pace, surrounded by Yugawara's natural beauty. The campfire sounds and soft lights made everything feel peaceful. The hot spring water comes straight from the source, and it felt gentle on my skin. I wanted to soak in it several times during the stay. A good place to get away from everyday life and unwind.

We stayed with our dog in Dog Base, one of the private glamping units on the hillside at Yugawara Onsen. The unit has over 110 square meters, and both the room and BBQ area were roomy enough for our dog to roam freely. That was the best part for us. The dinner spread was generous: selected beef rock steak, charcoal-grilled Sagami Bay abalone and turban shell, kinmedai bouillabaisse, and Margherita pizza. Baking a fresh pizza in the dedicated oven was even more fun than I expected. Cooking BBQ over the fire pit, feeding it logs as we ate, was great quality for a meal where you can arrive empty-handed. We could take as many market vegetables, fruits, and snacks as we wanted, and the draft beer server was free to use too. The private open-air bath in the room uses natural hot spring water straight from the source. It runs very hot, though, so you'll need to mix the water to cool it down. That's something that might surprise you if you don't know in advance. The fire area has a roof that opens and closes, so a little rain wasn't a problem, which was a relief since we were counting on BBQ. You can't bring your own cooking equipment, so keep that in mind if you're particular about your gear. I'd especially recommend it for adult couples who want outdoor time, hot springs, and good food with their dog. Even with the room-only plan, you can borrow all the campfire equipment, so next time I'd like to bring our own ingredients.
