The food was great at both dinner and breakfast, and the outdoor onsen was lovely. It was big enough for our family of four to enjoy together. The owner and staff were very nice and made time to chat with everyone during both meals. We arrived at 3pm for a one-night stay, and the owner was there to meet us and help. The interior has a Hawaiian theme and the whole place was very clean and well kept. Our room was simple but clean, with a great ocean view. I’m sure we’ll come back for another night or two. Thank you.

The staff were welcoming and accommodating, and gave me a lovely break during a work trip to Japan. A great onsen, a lovely town, and terrific people.

The Hawaiian feel is cool, and the private baths make it a good choice for those of us with tattoos.

This homey pension has a Hawaii feel. The toilets are shared, as you’d expect at a pension. The indoor and outdoor baths are shared too, but guests can take turns using them privately. Wi-Fi was incredibly strong. We walked down a narrow road, though Google Maps sent us toward a different route from the actual entrance. Included: Wi-Fi, bath towels and hand towels, air conditioning, and shampoo and body soap refills. The hot spring, bath, and shower get a △. There was no drinking water, electric kettle, or refrigerator. It cost ¥10,050 per night, including room-service dinner and breakfast. #MandarinHouse
