Ryokan Yukikan

I went without meals. The large public bath could be reserved for private use, which I especially liked. The inn had a retro feel that brought back memories of school trips in elementary and junior high.

The food was the worst part. Side dishes were just prepared foods and kept repeating. They were set out in the dining room hours ahead of time, uncovered. Rice cooked in the morning was left warming in the cooker until it was gone, with no fresh batch made before then. It turned yellow, smelled awful, and was inedible. I stayed here for about a month on a business trip last month. I can’t call the place clean at all, and the bathroom and changing room always smelled like damp laundry or a dust cloth. I never want to stay here again. If you have to come for some reason, I’d recommend going without meals. It might be okay just for sleeping overnight.

The inn felt unsanitary throughout, and the ice maker was full of grease. The rice was yellow and smelled bad, while the side dishes were just supermarket prepared food arranged on a plate. If you want to avoid regretting it, it’s best not to stay here.

The customer service was awful. I’d rather sleep in my car than stay here.
